She is a talented Singer, Recording Artist and Songwriter. Due to the fact that her parents relocated to London when she was just 11 years old, that foreign environment had a lot to do in influencing her musical career. Tiwa Savage’s exposure in the music industry began as far back as when she was in High School. Then she did back-up vocals for popular musicians like Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson and others. She has also been opportuned to perform on stage with big names in the music industry like 50 Cent, Eminem, Destiny’s Child and several others. Tiwa Savage has had various collaborations with different Nigerian artiste like Flavour, Waje, Don Jazzy, P Square and several others. Tiwa Savage is a very determined and talented Musician. She has managed through hard work and unflinching courage to reach the top charts in the Nigerian Music industry. She sings in both English and Yoruba. Tiwa Savage is presently signed to Mavin Records and Sony music Publishing. She is a humanitarian to the core, she has been involved in empowerment programs for the youths and breast cancer screening projects all over Nigeria. Today is the birthday of celebrated actor and producer, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo. He is best known for his roles in Yoruba language movies. He was born October 31, 1959 to late Subair Akande Taiwo and Alimot Ayinke, from the Akinnikuolu Compound in Ilaro, Ogun State (Nigeria). He attended Gazikia College (Lagos, Nigeria), and then went on train as an automobile mechanic at Yaba Technical School (Lagos, Nigeria). He worked with the Lagos State Water Corporation for about 15 years before retiring in 1994, to go into full-time acting. He started his acting career in 1982 under the tutelage of the Awo Ademola Fagbemi. From this humble beginning, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan has risen to become one of the most popular actors in the Nigerian film industry. Some of the movies, which he has featured in, include Owo Blow, Eyin Oka (The Fangs of a Viper), Agbara Ife (The Power of Love), 13th Day: Ojó Ketàlá, Arin Ota (Among Enemies), and Ase N Tedumare (God’s Will is Supreme).
